Summer Update

Drama, Marsh Farm and our Growth topic

Reception had the privilege to experience a piece of in house theatre. Tom Drayton’s theatre company (Pregnant Fish) performed an insightful show based on community and the traditional tale of ‘Hansel and Gretel’ to coincide with our topics. The children thoroughly enjoyed the performance and were able to take away the key message regarding recycling – you take away the old and turn it into something new! Reception would like to thank Tom Drayton for allowing us to take part in the experience.

We also visited Marsh Farm to look at the different animals and how they are looked after. We saw lots of animals and got to feed and touch them. We went on a tractor ride and saw a magic show.

Reception had a class assembly where we enjoyed sharing all the work we have been doing based on our topic 'Growth'. We sang a song about planting a seed, a dance of how a plant grows, talked about animals and their young and also about human changed.
