Family Bike Club

Our weekly Family Bike Club

For the past couple of months families have been staying behind after school and using our large school playground as a safe space to cycle, scoot or roller-skate. Some children bring their own bikes, others use the equipment provided by the school.

Over the past few weeks, it has been great to see so many children using the space and become more confident cyclists with the support and encouragement from mums, dads, aunties, uncles, grandparents and other adults.

Here is what our club members think:

“I come to Bike club with my sister and Nan. It’s my favourite club. We look forward to coming to bike club every week!” – Adam 4E

“Bike club is very useful because it makes people think about being healthy and it inspires you to become a professional cyclist when you are older.” – Nathan 4E

“It is a good idea because in Plaistow there are not a lot of open spaces to cycle safely” – Parent

“My child enjoys coming to bike club because we don’t have a garden at home” - Parent

Family Bike club will resume in the Spring Term.
