Autumn 1

Welcome to another exciting year in Nursery! Our theme this term is ‘Who am I?’
Over the last seven weeks, our little learners and parents have been settling in brilliantly. The children have done an amazing job learning to spot their own name pictures and confidently saying their names out loud. We are proud to see them waving goodbyes to their parents and carers each morning and bouncing in with big hellos for the nursery team! It is fantastic to see them enjoying every moment, making new friends, and eagerly exploring every corner of their new environment. We can’t wait for all the adventures ahead!

The children have been loving their musical sessions, joining in with familiar nursery rhymes and diving straight into story time! They are beginning to pick up exciting new words and phrases, listen attentively to stories and independently explore the book corner. On top of that, our little artists have had a blast creating their very own monsters using a whole mix of textures and materials, discovering all the fantastic marks they can make with different tools. It is wonderful to watch their creativity and curiosity shine!

The children absolutely love moving, grooving, and dancing along! Outside, they have been busy developing their physical skills by climbing and running, as well as practicing listening by following simple one-step instructions while playing alongside their friends.

We have six steps we help the children with to build their independence.

The children have done incredibly well and we are looking forward to seeing them grow in Autumn 2.
