Curwen Primary School

School Council Community project

On 12th June, the Curwen School Council undertook a wonderful community project to show appreciation for their local neighbours. School councillors stepped out into the neighbourhood to offer warm greetings, beautifully connecting with residents by using a variety of languages including Bangla (হ্যা লো / Assalamu Alaikum), Urdu (علیکم السالم / Assalamu Alaikum), Romanian (Bună), and Portuguese (Olá).

To share their gratitude, the students thoughtfully designed thank you cards and prepared delightful small hampers filled with sweets, tea bags, and plant seeds. They then personally delivered these tokens of gratitude to homes in their local area, extending a warm, personal thank you to each neighbour. This entire endeavour was a testament to the students' strong communication skills, collaborative teamwork, and creative innovation.
