We have been learning about ‘Celebrations’. There are lots of different Celebrations which are special to us in Reception.

We went on a trip to West Ham Parish Church, we started off from school and walked all the way to the church. We learnt how to walk safely along the pavement. Some of our parents came on the trip with us and helped us walk safely.

This term, we have developed our physical skills through exploring a range of activtities, we like to use the small and large balls to throw and catch. We have also developed our scirccor control through activities such as cutting the spaghetti.

In Maths, we have developed the skill to create addition maths stories using cups. We now know how to write simple maths stories using the addition and equals signs. We have also used a range of objects to group and then count the amounts.

Thank you for a successful first term in school. We are looking forward to the Spring term, where we will be learning lots more.
