The Nursery had a fantastic opportunity to learn and explore the Chinese culture, dance and music. We were able to walk like a Chinese lion, listen to the rhythm of the large drum and cymbals.

We learnt that the drum represented the heartbeat of the lion and we all had a chance to beat it with special drumsticks. We tried our hand at keeping the rhythm with the cymbals, and even got to dress as the Chinese lion and walk around the hall. It was an amazing experience to dive into an old tradition from another culture, especially as we had just celebrated Chinese New year!

We were roaring like lions all session!
