Art Workshops

Children across years 1-6 have recently taken part in a collaborative arts workshop, creating sculptures to display around the school. Taking the theme of diversity as a starting point, artist Tim Davies guided the children to make a series of figures wearing patterned clothes inspired by fabrics from around the world. Key Stage 2 children worked on forming the willow shapes, while Key Stage 1 children covered and decorated the willow with multicoloured tissue paper. The children worked together, sharing materials and solving problems as a team to create the finished sculptures. They all worked really hard and showed resilience throughout, and the finished pieces look amazing!
