URGENT UPDATE - CORONAVIRUS ADVICE

Updated 5pm 16/03/2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

This afternoon it has been announced that new measures are coming into force and therefore we are changing all school responses to be now be the same in regards to the following advice:-

  • Family isolation – if you have any member of the family whom has a fever and/or persistent cough all the family is now to self isolate for 14 days – please do not send brothers or sisters to school
  • All Educational Visits have been cancelled
  • To support social distancing all parental meetings and presentations will be rearranged such as assemblies, special days and meetings
  • We would ask that parents collect children from the exits and are requesting that they do not enter the building

Thank you for your support in this ever changing situation.  As promised, we are updating you daily on where we are as  a group of schools.  We are continuing to follow the advice from Public Health  England and should anything change we will inform you through your school’s information system  and it is therefore really important that if you haven’t already signed up to this that you do so immediately. Please speak to your school’s office for more information.   We will also be updating our website daily at www.ttlt.academy .

We ask that all parents keep in contact with their school in the event of your child presenting with a high temperature and/or a persistent cough as you will need to self-isolate for 14 days. In this event, please report this to your school and be aware that any child with these symptoms will not be allowed back into the setting until after the 14th  day. Any other sickness should be reported as normal, however, children being kept away from school with no personal or family symptoms they  will be marked as an unauthorised absence, however, this does not mean that parents will be fined.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Yours sincerely,
Paul Harris
