Curwen's Royal Morning

Three Lucky Pupils, Mr Harris and Royalty

On a sunny May morning, three of our lucky pupils Maggie Fagbohun, Sultan Mogaji and Eliana Bayan accompanied Mr. Harris at the launch of  'Heads Together' where they met with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.  'Heads Together'  aims to spearhead  a new campaign with a team of charity partners to end stigma around mental health, something that all three young royals are very passionate about.

Curwen Primary school was chosen to represent Place2Be, a leading children’s mental health charity, which proves in-school support and expert training to improve the emotional wellbeing of pupils, families, teachers and school staff.   Paul Harris said ‘we were delighted to have met the royal party at this very important event particularly as the school has worked closely with Place2Be for some time in supporting the emotional well-being of our pupils and their families’.

The three children all returned to school enthused by the experience of meeting the Royals. Maggie said  ‘it was lovely to meet William, Kate and Harry who were all really humble and kind’.
