Curwen Primary School

School Council Trip to City Hall 6th May 2025

City Hall welcomed Curwen's School Council for an exciting journey through 2,000 years of London's history. Our young leaders explored fascinating events from Roman times to the present day, including the infamous Great Stink. They also learnt about the crucial role of the London Assembly in policing, transport, and housing. A highlight of the day was sitting in the Debating Chamber, where they imagined being Mayor. The Student Council members also had the privilege of observing a London Assembly meeting held in the chamber. The visit concluded with a fun ice bucket challenge led by the Deputy Chair of the London Assembly to raise money for a worthy cause. What an insightful day for our School Council!
