Curwen Primary School Council

The School Council at Curwen Primary is a dedicated group of pupils, democratically elected by their classmates, who play a vital role in making our school and community a better place. To earn their position, candidates first prepare and deliver speeches to their peers, putting the principles of democracy into action. The elected councillors then meet every Friday after school to reflect on their leadership skills and plan tangible next steps for school improvement. To gain a deeper understanding of government, they also go on educational trips to places like City Hall and the Houses of Parliament.
