In Literacy, Year 3 have been learning about mystery stories. We looked at what the features of a mystery story are. We read a few different mystery stories and really enjoyed acting them out.

When we acted out the stories we thought about the features of the story and what made them really interesting and enjoyable to read. We learnt about using punctuation in our writing to make it more exciting for the reader. This included using inverted commas, ellipsis and using ambitious adjectives to create expanded noun phrases. We put all out learning together and used our creative imaginations to write our very own mystery story!
