Summer 2

What a wonderful year it has been! First of all, I’d like to congratulate all the children in Year 6 for all their hard work and dedication over the course of the year. They performed wonderfully well during their SATs assessments and throughout the year, they have tackled any hurdles they encountered with maturity, resilience and a positive outlook.

The children have been lucky enough to go on a number of trips to celebrate their achievements throughout the year. These included: an amazing day out at Legoland; learning about evolution at the Natural History Museum and watching Encanto at Stratford Picturehouse.

As well as all this, the children have also made leavers’ videos, which they can’t wait to share with you during their Leavers’ Assembly. The children have been busy developing their performing arts skills, while rehearsing for the Y6 musical: Shakespeare Rocks. In science, the pupils have looked at Evolution, and how animals adapt to their environments.

They have explored the life and times of the Vikings, and even designed their own dragon’s eyes.

As well as this, the pupils have been able to develop their creativity, with a range of different art activities, including producing their own art in the style of Andy Warhol

and digital art in the style of Coco Davez.
