This term our topic has been ‘Journeys’ and we have been talking about our journey to school, our journey into Year 1 and we have also had the chance to follow a map during our trip to Colchester zoo. The children were able to develop their map skills by following a map of the school and also at the zoo. We really enjoyed working as a team to find the location of the zebras at the zoo!

We had a fantastic time at our EYFS summer concert. Our children has the chance to showcase all the things we have learnt throughout the year through singing, dancing, gymnastics and our fashion show. The children have developed their communication and language and social skills, the teachers are extremely proud of their achievements.

This term in maths we have been developing our skills to tell the time, we have talked about what time we get up in the morning, the importance of going to bed on time, o’clock and half past. We also worked as a team to measure the distance from our Year 1 classes to Reception.
