Year 4 Forest School

&nbsp;

During summer term, in year 4 Forest School, we have covered invertebrates and sound along with a range of Forest School skills. This included bug hunts to identify invertebrates (considering endo and exoskeletons). We also used a range of observational techniques to identify how different variables affect sound in our local environment. This included listening to and identifying bird songs. We also completed a nature walk to identify how species adapt to their habitats.

Other Forest School skills used included whittling with knives, fire-making, making cairns, digging, hapa zome, den-building&hellip;

Year 3 Forest School

&nbsp;

During summer term, in year 3 Forest School, we have covered invertebrates and plants along with a range of Forest School skills. This included a nature walk to identify different habitats and living things and reproduction of plants including seed dispersal.

Other Forest School skills used included whittling, fire-lighting, digging, hapa zome, making mini habitats for minibeasts, tension knots with pulleys&hellip;&nbsp;
