Black History Month Homework Projects

This year the theme is ‘Celebrating Our Sisters,’ a landmark occasion to recognise and applaud the invaluable contributions of black women to British society, inspire future generations, and empower them.

At Curwen, we want to encourage children to learn about those that were or are inspirational in a wide range of areas, and how important their legacies are. Our theme at Curwen is ‘Proud to Celebrate Our Sisters.’

Children were tasked to do their own research and get creative! We wanted them to create whatever they chose to celebrate an inspirational black woman in their family, in their life, or someone from history that you think we should all know about.

We had some AMAZING work handed in. Please see our winning posters below. Special congratulations to:  Tereza 2SA, Daniel 3B, Aisha 3H, Lynne 3F, Tefnut 5PB, Lilia 6R, Ashana 6R
