The New Scientist Exhibition 2026-27 - Y4, 5 and 6 STEM MASt trip

After the success and enjoyment of this trip in previous years, we returned once more to the EXCEL to expose the children to a range of science and computing-related careers, experiments, technology and even an explosive show.

The children loved exploring all of the sections from healthcare and farming advancements to robotics. They took part in experiments measuring their responses to music, walked through a digestive system, used ultrasound equipment, performed VR brain surgery, used Playstation controllers to perform operations, extracted DNA from a strawberry, interacted with AI robots, met a dinosaur and even milked a cow!

The children loved it all, remembered all sorts of facts and discovered a wide range of careers and jobs related to science. Well done to everyone that attended for their enthusiasm and curiosity!
