I came to Curwen in Year 1 from Switzerland and I didn’t speak much English. I felt anxious at the beginning. I have improved in school a lot. I am in Year 3 now and I feel proud for myself because of a lot of achievements in my subjects. I have got a Young Achievement award because I got good at English about in a year.

My friends helped me when I did not know English. Teachers helped me to learn the sounds to read. Mrs. Teixeira teach us the names of objects. She takes us out to play games and learn new things about England and to read at lunch time.

I like my school. In Curwen Primary School they teach me many things and there are lots of activities.
