On Wednesday 28^th November 2018, year 3 travelled to London to see “Matilda” in the theatre. This was linked to our Literacy as we have been reading Matilda and other books written by Roald Dahl. The children thoroughly enjoyed the show and were able to make links between the book we have been reading and the Theatre show. It also broadened their experiences as most of the children had said they had never been to a theatre before. The children had also been learning the songs from the show, so they were able to join in when the songs were being sung.
